Modji - ‘Journey’ in Ewe, a dialect spoken mostly in Ghana and Togo - wasnt half-heartedly choosen. The wanderlust spatters off when the band flows from West-African traditions into modern Afrofunk and from sensual Latin to their Western roots. The energy of this Rotterdam based band is felt on their album aswell on stage; An electric shock wich will get every bodypart moving. Modji sounds how everyday life should be; infite summer and full of passion and desire.
